Anointed Teachers Or False Prophets

Whether you're sitting in a room talking to someone or seated in a large amphitheater listening to a charismatic speaker, with the right background music, preaching the Word of God, your emotions are going to change as often as the speaker chooses to manipulate them.

If you've ever seen old World War II footage of Adolf Hitler speaking to large groups, you can get an idea what I'm talking about. Hitler was a very charismatic speaker and persuaded large numbers of people to follow him. Most of these people believed in him and backed his cause. He offered them a better world and they took it, hook, line and sinker.

Most religious leaders offer the world hope in the form of a better world, often in the belief of heaven or receiving your rewards after you leave Earth. It's hard for me to imagine that people get caught up in the idea or belief that there is a better place and you will only receive your pass to this kingdom after a life of pain and suffering. It's not very 21st-century, it's more like seventh century thinking.

I was reading a comment on a religious video that I was watching about the person preaching. He said that he was glad to be able to listen to this anointed teacher. That tells me that he has gotten caught up in this person's beliefs about their religion. The video seemed to be more dramatic than educational.

Some people referred to me as a false prophet because I write articles examining religious text, with an open mind. Any religious leader who is reading or referencing their religious text, word for word but giving their own opinions on clearly written text might need to be examined a little more closely.

I used Adolf Hitler as an extreme example of a false prophet leading millions of people away from his original promise of a better world. Some religious leaders are more interested in glorifying themselves than God. If you belong to a religious organization that is promising you something like hope, and can't guarantee any results, is this an intelligent person, anointed teacher or false prophet.

Charismatic speakers entice uneducated people to follow them. Arm yourself with information to prevent these people from controlling your life. Education will release you from religious tyranny.
